  • The preferred candidate will possess a minimum of 10+ years' experience in related fields, including financial planning, analysis, or commercial analytics roles.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent). Experience in large companies or relevant European regional or country markets.
  • In-depth Pharmaceutical / Biosimilars industry experience in Finance, including commercial operations, Order-To-Cash, and Gross-To-Net processes, tendering, retail markets, and price negotiations.
  • Understanding of the industry environment in European countries (e.g., Spain, Italy, UK, Ireland, or other Central / Eastern European markets).
  • Proficiency in accounting and finance, knowledge of IFRS, gross-to-net, sales / revenues forecasting, budgetary control, financial planning, analysis, and financial controllership activities.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Financial Planning, ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft tools (intermediate / advanced Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in high-growth, multinational organizations with Centre of Excellence or Global teams is advantageous.
  • Fluent written and verbal skills in Spanish or Italian, along with excellent English skills.
  • Key Responsibilities

    The Director, Business Finance, will drive financial planning and analysis for Europe, acting as a strategic partner to the Europe Commercial Leadership Team, managing revenues and expenses for biosimilar products, and providing strategic, operational, and financial guidance.

    • Partner with the business to analyze ROI, manage planning cycles, and develop budgets and forecasts.
    • Manage P&L with commercial partners, including revenue and operating expense forecasting, risks, and opportunities.
    • Provide analysis and metrics to assess financial performance and support decision-making.
    • Lead revenue forecasting, including gross-to-net reconciliation and performance reporting.
    • Support tender frameworks, pricing negotiations, and revenue maximization strategies.
    • Guide pricing and discounting decisions, including contract proposals and list price recommendations.
    • Ensure strong financial controls and oversight of OTC processes, liaising with supply chain and banking functions.
    • Collaborate on complex contract analysis affecting revenue recognition.
    • Create financial analyses and presentations for senior management.
    • Monitor key business drivers and communicate insights, opportunities, and risks.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to develop advanced financial reporting and analysis.
    • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with Corporate Finance and Global teams on reporting processes and controls.
