We are a successful underwriting team going from strength to strength, helping to lead the business in a time of rapid growth. We are looking for an underwriter to expand our team. Someone who is fast-thinking, diligent, and keen to change the way lending is for everyone. We're excited to be growing our presence in Spain and are looking for talented underwriters to join our new team based in Málaga . This is more than just a traditional underwriting role — we're looking for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments, are detail-oriented, and want to be part of building something from the ground up. You'll help shape new processes, improve systems, and contribute to the foundation of a high-performing team. As part of our international growth, there will also be excellent opportunities to spend time in London, gaining deeper exposure to the UK market and expanding your career with us.

What will you do?

• Make decisions on new unsecured personal loan applications using our cutting-edge credit decision technology
• Carry out an in-depth analysis of Open Banking results
• Assess customer affordability and ascertain their creditworthiness
• Help design, implement, and consistently apply underwriting processes and best practices.
• Carry out Fraud and AML checks
• Liaise with customers to capture information and document where necessary
• Ability to work independently and take steps to enhance own knowledge when required.
• Provide support to other team members and to wider departments
• Work in a queue and strong pipeline management
• Produce high-level quality work and use your excellent attentionto detail
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a credit underwriting environment
• Target-driven with an understanding and desire to achieve our goals
• Experienced in working in a start-up environment or with previous project experience
• Compliant with credit policy and procedures and changes
• The ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Excellent communication in Spanish and English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational skills
• A strong work ethic
• Strong time management
