Head of Services, Power Conversion Solutions (PCS)

Power Conversion Solutions (PCS) is a newly formed Global Product Group (GPG) within Hitachi Energy, created by combining the GES and PCP teams. PCS aims to become a high-performing, successful, and attractive partner for utilities, IPPs, and integrators by offering an unparalleled package of products, services, and software. Our mission is to drive profitable growth and deliver high-value automation and digital solutions to our customers.

The Head of Services will play a critical role in the PCS organization. This position is responsible for driving the P&L performance of the services business, ensuring profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and the delivery of high-quality services. The Services Manager will collaborate with R&D, Operations, Sales, Business Development, and Portfolio teams to develop and implement service strategies aligned with the global product group's goals.

This position can be based in Italy (Milan or Genova) or Spain (Madrid or Sevilla), with other locations evaluated as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement service strategies to enhance P&L performance, growth, and profitability.
  • Oversee delivery of services such as consulting, remote monitoring, and performance warranties, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with engineering and product teams to align service offerings with product capabilities and customer needs.
  • Manage and lead a team of service professionals, fostering high performance and development.
  • Monitor service performance metrics, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, acting as a primary contact for service-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in developing new service offerings and business models.
  • Support sales teams in promoting and selling services, providing technical and customer insights.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in service management, preferably in power conversion or renewables.
  • Experience with digital and automation solutions in power industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing power conversion services such as consulting, remote monitoring, spare parts, and warranties.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision ability.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
