A&M Financial Services Industry (“FSI”) is a multinational division within the firm that works with leading financial institutions across Europe and the USA. It revolves around four core areas of expertise : M&A, Performance Improvement, Credit and Real Estate Advisory, Bank Restructuring, and Regulatory Advisory.

Within A&M’s FSI, the M&A Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team advises a wide range of clients—from traditional players (banks, insurers, asset and wealth managers) to FinTechs and specialty finance institutions, as well as private equity firms. The team focuses on EMEA coverage and is headquartered in London, Madrid, Milan, and Paris.

Job Description :

Currently, we are looking for a full-time off-cycle analyst who will join us for an initial period with the aim of full team integration, thereafter starting in September. You will be part of an international team, and your day-to-day tasks will be diverse, including taking a proactive role in :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support M&A Due Diligence : Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence processes for financial institutions considering mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures. Tasks may include financial analysis, market research, and target evaluation.
  • Financial Modeling : Collaborate with senior consultants to develop and maintain financial models to assess the financial impact of potential transactions, including valuation analyses, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Industry Research : Conduct in-depth research and analysis on trends, regulations, and competitive dynamics within the financial services industry, providing valuable insights to support client engagements.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Assist in preparing client presentations, memoranda, and reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and insights derived from the due diligence and analysis processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with colleagues across different functional areas, including finance, operations, and strategy, to support the development and execution of client engagements.
  • Professional Development : Actively participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities to enhance technical skills, industry knowledge, and professional growth.

Qualifications :

  • Currently pursuing an Engineering or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in finance, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
  • Previous internship experience in finance, consulting, or related fields is a plus.
