Key job responsibilities
We are running High Volume Events (HVE) such as Prime, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc., frequently. This role involves moving from solely executing HVEs to strategically planning how to execute these events excellently while setting strategies. You will orchestrate business and operations experts and leadership to prepare for HVEs.
A day in the life
As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change in Amazon, leading improvement projects and programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Some managers are based on-site while others work remotely, depending on the most suitable option for their team and tasks.
Senior Programme Managers have significant responsibilities, dealing with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. Beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to enhancing areas like diversity, equity, and inclusion.
About the team
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) manages heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team oversees the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns, offering an extra level of customer care, including unpacking, assembling, installing, and old item removal. We focus on safety, productivity, and innovation, transforming how customers buy and receive large goods.
We plan to expand our fulfilment centres and delivery stations across the UK and Europe. Most team members work during the day, with some night shifts for delivery station staff. Our team includes operations, supply chain, business intelligence, and programme management professionals, all vital to growing this business area.
