To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent

As a network engineer you will make sure that all Operational Technology (OT) connectivity between our assets (Wind Onshore and Offshore, Photovoltaic and Battery / Storage) remain available to and from the our datacenter, including control rooms around Europe, including the connection of new assets.

  • Manage the day to day of our central and decentral connectivity landscape within the Operational Technology environment, including the datacenter and regional offices.
  • Proactively monitor our systems‘ connectivity and react to incidents to minimize disruptions, including daily checks, escalations, analysis and KPIs across the different countries we operate.
  • Analysis and elimination of complex technical incidents via tickets and / or other method, including 1nd, 2nd and some 3rd line support – via Change Management Process.
  • Responsible for the setup, configuration, installation and maintenance of physical and virtual routers, firewalls, switches for our decentralize infrastructure, including checks, inventory and documentation, FCRs, VLANs, WLANs.
  • Leading and implement medium complex size projects related to our OT central and decentralized infrastructure.
  • Enable good working relationship and knowledge exchange with other teams within the renewables business.

Your profile

  • 3+ years' experience in network infrastructure design, implementation and operation
  • 3+ years’ experience in Network Security technology, proven experience with different Firewall products like Palo Alto (mainly) and Panorama, Checkpoint or Fortinet. Knowledge of Clavister and WatchGuard brands is a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Switching Technology (Cisco / HP / Dell / etc).
  • 3+ years of experience supporting networking environments (VPNs, VLANs, TCP / IPs, Routers, and similar devices).
  • Certifications within the Information Technology Area (VMware, Azure, CCNA, CCNP or similar) with related experience and successfully completed a university degree in Information Technology.
  • Network automation experience is a plus.
  • Ability to think outside the box and be proactive.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework (preferably certified)
  • Experience to coordinate, troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work within a team and experience working in an international working environment.
  • Fluent in English – writing and speaking, German and any other language are a plus.
