JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a predoctoral researcher to join the Diabetes Immunology Group and carry out research into type 1 diabetes over a period of four months. This position involves completing the final experimental phase of a competitive research project.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Holding a degree in Biotechnology or a related field, and a Master's degree in Biomedicine / Languages.
  • Willingness to work in the field of diabetes immunology.
  • Skills such as organizational ability, punctuality, scientific motivation, and scientific integrity will be valued.
  • Proven experience in immunochemical techniques, lymphocyte cultures, and the functional effects of miRNAs. An excellent level of English must be demonstrated.
  • Specific requirements established by the call or grant, which may not be considered, in any case, as a discriminatory element. No.
  • Previous experience in Immunology and international experience (Master’s and / or research stays) will be valued.

  • Type of contract and working hours : Indefinite contract (indefinido por actividades científico-técnicas 14 / 2011).
  • Date of incorporation : Sept 1st 2025.
  • Gross annual remuneration will be fixed based on experience and skills, distributed in 12 payments.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    The tasks include :

  • Transfection of microRNAs (miRNAs) into immune cells.
  • Immune cell phenotyping.
  • Measurement of plasma cytokines.
  • Data collection and analysis.

    • The candidate will contribute to experimental work related to immunological studies in the context of type 1 diabetes.
