About RELP

RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organization dedicated to making the deployment of renewable energy cheaper and faster in emerging and developing countries.

Our goal is to increase access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy, thereby mitigating climate change. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets for scalable private investments at low prices, promoting sustainable economic development.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Sr Research Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organization. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, a fast learner, and proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Research and compile information about target countries, including economic context and power market features, to prepare Country Profiles reports.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations or reports on topics relevant to identifying and selecting target countries.
  • Draft Collaboration Agreements with target countries and relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare materials for signing Collaboration Agreements and meetings with counterparts.
  • Prepare reports, white papers, and other documents to support decision-making or enhance understanding of topics.
  • Deliver presentations, courses, or seminars to counterparts as part of capacity building activities.
  • Prepare and deliver ad-hoc presentations or reports as required by RELP's core team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics.
  • Master's in Renewable Energy or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in research.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the energy sector.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French.
  • Full-time availability; fully remote position.
