Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to support a customer program in Bilbao, Spain.

The selected candidate will have previous experience in working in an aerospace quality inspection role, performing inspections to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications.

This position requires the ability to define and contain non-conformance when identified by receipt inspection or by customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Visual, documentation, and packaging checks
• Part serialization checks
• Dimensional inspection of suspect parts
• Review and approval (stamp-off) of CoCs
• Collaboration with internal logistics to ensure affected material is quarantined and returned to supplier as required
• Evaluation of customer complaints with internal quality / ME team and launch containment if required

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years' experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment is mandatory.

Strong hands-on inspection experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers, is also required.

Knowledge / experience of AS9100 standards is highly advantageous.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role.

Previous experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word) is beneficial.

Able to prioritize workload and meet stringent deadlines.

Prioritizing a location based in a commutable distance from Bilbao is ideal.

Communication will be in English and / or Spanish.
