Cloud Backend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled backend developer to join our team and contribute to the development of WebAssembly on any infrastructure compiled from any programming language. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial-strength software engineering skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

As a key member of our team, you will lead the development of backend APIs for our Cloud service, Wasmer Edge. You will work closely with our frontend team and CEO, who is also the creator of the Python GraphQL framework, to implement new features and improve existing ones.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining, architecting, and building backend APIs, coordinating with UI / UX and frontend developers, writing tests and implementing automated testing, and owning the backend codebase.

You will be expected to demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to software engineering best practices and principles, such as Agile and CI / CD, and continuous improvement through measurement. Additionally, you will need to have experience in developing backend services for a SaaS product and at least 6 years of software engineering experience.
