Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ( ). We are currently looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our team for a construction project in the USA.

Location : The Woodlands, Texas, United States

Department : Operations - focused on the Renewable Energy market, mainly solar (also wind and batteries / data).

Estimated duration of the position : 2 years. Generally, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to ensure continuity.

Main Responsibilities :

Develop and implement procurement strategies to align with project timelines and budgets.
Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and sustainability.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to define procurement needs and specifications.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs (Requests for Quotations), and RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements.
Track and manage inventory levels, deliveries, and logistics to prevent project delays.
Resolve procurement-related issues, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance.
Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and emerging suppliers in the renewable energy industry.

Working Hours : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM (1-hour break).

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial or Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including at least 1 year working on utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects of 80 MW or more within the United States.

Proficient in procurement platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis.

Preferred certifications include CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), or CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply).

Practical knowledge of renewable energy systems and industry-specific standards and regulations.

Strong understanding of logistics operations, import / export compliance, sustainable sourcing practices, and environmental regulatory requirements in industrial settings.
