Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Senior / Software Engineer to join our Playgami team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!

About the Role

At Scopely, we develop, publish, and innovate in the mobile games industry, connecting millions of players worldwide. Playgami is building the best SaaS gaming platform, powering award-winning franchise games across mobile, web, and PC.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, architect, and implement features for large-scale games.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables with good practices.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code with thorough documentation.
  • Maintain system performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Work in an agile environment and collaborate with skilled colleagues.
  • Share knowledge and support team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Good communication skills and a team player attitude.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science (data structures, algorithms, design patterns).
  • Proficiency in Java, C#, or similar OO languages, with experience in asynchronous and multi-threaded programming.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Product engineering mindset.
  • Open to candidates at all levels, including junior engineers.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • Familiarity with TDD, CI / CD practices.
  • Experience with low-latency, high-volume distributed systems and Big Data technologies.
  • Web development experience with frameworks like React or Angular.
