The Senior Underwriter collaborates with Account Management and Business Development teams to build and nurture relationships with brokers to promote profitable growth. The role aims to elevate broker relationships from trusted partners to trading partnerships, securing profitable renewals and generating new business within strategy and risk appetite.
Collaborate with Account Managers to develop business plans targeting new opportunities with shared goals.
Manage and develop a portfolio to maximize revenue from new and renewal business, including reviewing existing accounts and following up on new cases.
Use all relevant information sources to meet broker and client needs, building deep, long-term relationships to generate and close new, up-sell, and cross-sell opportunities.
Work with colleagues to resolve broker or client complaints promptly, maintaining relationship quality and continuity.
Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Commercial awareness with a track record of accountability for results.
Ability to motivate others and influence beyond direct control.
Experience leading transformation initiatives and implementing change for future capabilities.
Understanding of financial regulatory requirements related to conduct, compliance, and risk management.
