Project Developer

We are seeking a skilled Project Developer to join our team in Spain. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for renewable energy and project development.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of wind, PV, and BESS projects in Spain from early stages through investment decisions and handover to the construction and operations team. The role involves managing the permitting process, including preparation and review of EIA documentation and permits, as well as building relationships with land owners and local communities.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Manage the permitting process, including preparation and review of EIA documentation and permits.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with land owners and local communities.
  • Develop and implement project management guidelines to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Supervise the permitting process of new plants under development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need :

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, preferably with a focus on renewable energy.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the permitting process, having participated in the development and acquisition of renewable assets (wind and PV).
  • Experience in project development processes in Spain, including land acquisition, environmental permitting, administrative procedures, distribution / transmission grid, and interconnection.
  • Experience in RTB and COD regulatory status and legal processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and high-level assertiveness and communication skills in an international environment.
  • An appreciation for cultural differences.
  • A willingness to travel.
