Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Sales Representative with extensive experience in Life Sciences sales to lead and expand our presence in the Spain. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Life Science or NGS-related capital equipment sales. Knowledge of NGS, single-cell, and spatial omics technologies is essential. Experience in CapEx sales will be considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Seek out new customers and sales opportunities for driving revenue.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the regional business plan to meet assigned target of revenue and strategic objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching market trends, establishing relationships with potential clients, and expanding the company's market presence to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Lead and manage critical sales projects from inception to completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, setting project milestones, tracking progress, and ensuring the timely achievement of sales objectives
- Achieve the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned.
- Accurately forecast customer demand (i.e., product quantities and dollars, orders, shipments).
- Build long-term relationships with Key contacts at target customers.
- Use various lead generation tools to enhance the lead pipeline.
- Update the CRM system and manage the sales pipeline by reporting opportunity evolution and probabilities.
- Initiate promotional events for the company.
- Represent the company at trade events.
- Follow company guidelines / practices / policies and provide timely development plans to correct for underperformance.
- Be responsible for ensuring that MGI’s commitment to customer satisfaction is performed, delivered, and constantly improved.
- Drive a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Marketing, Customer Solutions) and the local sales team & staff to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals.
- Handle confidential information : Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and complies with the organisation's policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality : Uphold strict confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information, including personnel matters, legal documents, financial data, contracts, and other proprietary information.
Requirements
Master’s degree or higher in Life Sciences or a related field.Proven track record of minimum 5 years in Life Science sales within Spain , preferably with high-value capital equipment.Located in Madrid or Barcelona (other regions can be considered).Strong expertise and hands-on experience in NGS, single-cell , and spatial omics technologies.Experience in capital expenditures (CapEx) sales and long-cycle customer engagement is highly desirable.Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.Strong self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused.Please make sure you upload a CV in English, as well as a portfolio in your application (if applicable)
