A leading international retailer has established an IT hub in Barcelona to drive the selection and provision of IT infrastructure, platforms, and business applications.

We are seeking a talented Data & AI Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have relevant professional experience in developing and implementing cloud or on-premises platforms for Data & AI applications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new features for our group-wide Data & AI Cloud Platform, optimizing and extending existing ones, and collaborating with other IT departments and stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to make a significant impact on our organization's technology landscape.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in developing and implementing cloud or on-premises platforms for Data & AI applications
• Experience and passion for software development, architecture, and design (ideally with Python)
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, and building data pipelines
• Experience with APIs, Python development (FastAPI), and various cloud services and tools
• A plus would be knowledge of larger SaaS / PaaS services such as Snowflake, Databricks, Kubernetes (AKS / GKE), or Confluent
• A team player with good communication skills who enjoys big responsibilities and a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in an agile way and willingness to learn and grow continuously
