Ohme has been selling its chargers to consumers since mid 2019 and has had exponential growth since. We are now operating in multiple countries and have partnerships with the likes of VW, Mercedes, Octopus Energy, and other innovative brands.

We are scaling up the business and are building out the team for rapid growth. If you’re interested joining a fast-growing cleantech venture on a data and AI-first journey to speed up the global transition to clean, affordable energy, read on!

We are looking for a hungry Business Development Manager to be based in Barcelona, Spain with expectations to travel to our HQ in London every few months.

In this role, you will support our Partner-based route-to-market. You will work closely with the Sales Team to expand our footprint in Italy and grow our installer network in Spain. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about customers and wants to be part of disrupting the energy and mobility sectors with technology.

You will be expected to be in the Barcelona office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Identify and close opportunities with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, car dealerships, etc.).
  • Proactively generate new leads through outbound sales activities, including cold calling and personalized outreach.
  • Qualify and convert inbound B2B and B2C leads, ensuring timely, professional follow-up and excellent customer experience.
  • Manage a pipeline of B2B prospects and convert leads into commercial partnerships.
  • Own the full sales cycle from outreach and proposal to negotiation and contract signature.
  • Achieve sales targets for EV charger units.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across hardware, software, and service packages.

Market & Relationship Development

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with installers, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at EV, sustainability, and energy events to grow brand awareness and expand the network.
  • Monitor competitor activity to sharpen positioning and value proposition.
  • Gather customer feedback to support ongoing product and service innovation.

  • Customer-Focused : Confident handling both inbound B2B and B2C sales requests with a consultative approach.
  • Outgoing and Personable : Enjoy initiating conversations, being authentic, and building long-term relationships.
  • Clear Communicator : Able to explain technical solutions in simple terms for a variety of audiences.
  • Bi-lingual : Fluent in both Spanish and English. Fluency in other languages such as Italian, Portuguese is a plus.
  • Location : This role is based in Barcelona, with some travel to our London office
  • Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role.
  • Track record of successful cold outreach and handling inbound sales enquiries.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the EV or clean energy sector.
  • Familiarity with tools like Slack, Jira, and Odoo is a plus. Strong CRM discipline and attention to communication consistency.
  • Passion for clean technology, EV infrastructure, or the energy transition.
  • Native-level fluency in Spanish and professional fluency in English.
