As a member of the IDIADA Group Body & Passive Safety division you will be part of the Body Design team being directly involved in engineering development projects for global automotive clients.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Body Design Managers you will be responsible for :
- Leading the product development of automotive parts
- Creating and managing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
- Developing customer-oriented solutions for the automotive industry

Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Design or Automotive Engineering specializationVocational training or equivalent demonstrated practical experience acceptedMinimum 5 years of experience as a designer with proven CATIA v5 proficiency (mandatory)Language Skills
Advanced proficiency in English is requiredKnowledge of local languages is highly valuedProficiency in additional languages will be considered an assetProfessional Competencies

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive fieldProficiency in CATIA v5 and experience working in automotive-related projectsExtensive experience in automotive components development including :Interior and Exterior Trims parts
Body-in-White (BiW) structuresClosures systemsCarbon Fiber partsExperience in design with sustainable materials will be considered an assetExperience conducting technical feasibility studies 3D / 2D parts modeling and technical documentationKnowledge of automotive industry standards and regulationsExperience with Product Lifecycle Management ( PLM ) softwareFamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ( GD&T )Experience collaborating with parts suppliers moldflow or stamping simulations will be considered an assetAdditional Information :
