We are seeking a seasoned igaming legal professional with experience in the regulated sector to lead and manage its global legal operations.
Location : This is a Malta-based job, onsite with some flexibility for hybrid work. A relocation package is provided – please see the benefits section.
What you'll do :
- Lead the Legal function to provide advice on legal matters. Responsible for day-to-day oversight and management of the legal function, including all contentious and non-contentious affairs, providing pragmatic legal and commercial advice, and supporting the overall strategy and objectives of the Group.
- Offer legal guidance on matters related to corporate, commercial, intellectual property, data privacy, employment, and dispute resolution / litigation.
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts.
- Develop and update contract templates and internal policies throughout the contract lifecycle, and spearhead efforts to enhance contract management processes.
- Provide timely legal advice on emerging issues to facilitate swift and compliant decision-making.
- Revise, implement, oversee, and enforce customer terms and conditions to ensure compliance, and provide advice concerning customer complaints, disputes, and litigation matters.
- Oversee adherence to contractual commitments while fostering strong relationships with contracting parties.
- Coordinate with external legal experts on complex or jurisdiction-specific legal challenges.
- Manage due diligence activities to verify legal and regulatory compliance across different markets.
- Assist with corporate governance tasks, including drafting resolutions and internal policy documents.
Qualifications :
3+ years of hands-on experience working in a similar position within the iGaming industry.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law - qualified lawyer in the UK or EU.Business proficiency in English.Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.Proactive in sharing expertise and contributing to the success of the legal team.Values collaboration and knowledge exchange within the legal department and across the organization.Eagerness to support various departments by embedding legal risk considerations into operational and strategic decisions.Confidence to serve as a key contact for legal assistance, training, and policy development across departments.Previous experience partnering closely with leadership and executive management for strategic legal advice.Lifelong learner mindset.What’s in it for you?
