Purpose of the position
The Director C&I Solutions is responsible for the development of SMAs Commercial and Industrial business within the designated markets. He or she manages, develops, and maintains positive key business partnerships and stakeholder relationships in line with segment market priorities.
The scope of responsibility includes the C&I solar, storage, and EV charging portfolio (Hardware, Software, Services) with current and future business models.
Key responsibilities
Manages sales, revenue generation, business and partner development of the Commercial & Industrial segment within the designated markets, collaborating closely with the global C&I business responsible and regional management.
Ensures collection and analysis of regional market data to derive requirements and strategic implications for segment development.
Designs and implements regional strategic segment plans and initiatives aligned with the global C&I segment strategy to achieve business targets.
Manages financial performance, KPIs, and forecast accuracy for the markets.
Develops a thorough understanding of customer groups and targeted C&I end customer verticals.
Steers the placement of the C&I solution portfolio through existing and new sales channels and multipliers.
Builds industry relationships by engaging with key customers, stakeholders, and partners regularly.
Promotes a customer-centric mindset within the team to enhance customer experience and meet segment targets.
Collaborates with Marketing and Sales Enablement on messaging, value selling, and sales tools.
Reports to the VP C&I Solutions Western & Southern Europe.
Qualifications & Requirements
Requires tertiary qualifications (Business or Engineering) with a strong interest in technical products.
At least 7 years of experience in sales or business development within the renewable energy industry.
Experience managing relationships and contracts in an industrial or renewable energy context.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with emotional intelligence and the ability to motivate and build trust.
Excellent intercultural communication skills.
Customer and success-oriented, flexible, and independent worker.
Entrepreneurial spirit with problem-solving mindset.
High willingness to travel internationally.
Proficiency in English is required; Italian, French, Spanish are a plus.
Reporting line : Vice President C&I Solutions Western & Southern Europe.
