Job Title : Electrical and Instrumentation Quality Specialist
Job Description :
The role of an Electrical and Instrumentation Quality Specialist involves ensuring the compliance of vendor manufacturing documents with project specifications, design and manufacturing codes, and industry standards. This position is responsible for reviewing all quality control requirements and assuring their inclusion in purchase orders. The specialist will also be involved in internal reviews of quality control requirements before issuance to vendors.
Key responsibilities include :
- Reviewing project specifications (manufacturing and quality control) to detect any quality control requirements that need to be included in purchase orders;
- Internal review of quality control requirements included in purchase orders prior to issuance to vendors;
- Review and comment on vendor manufacturing documents assigned to purchase orders, such as electrical equipment, transformers, switchgears, instruments, MAC / DCS, electrical and instrumentation cables, fiber optic cables, telecommunication systems, etc.
- Planning, coordinating, and scheduling workshop inspection visits with all inspection representatives (vendor, TR, client);
- Leading pre-inspection meetings for applicable purchase orders;
- Requesting and selecting adequate inspectors to cover related inspection activities according to applicable Inspection and Test Plans;
- Handling notice of inspections with all involved parties (vendor, TR, client);
- Attending critical inspection visits when necessary;
- Reviewing, controlling, and distributing inspection reports;
- Managing non-conformity reports (NCRs) with vendors and clients;
- Participating in meetings with other project areas and disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction) as needed; and
- Communicating fluently with vendors to ensure they understand comments and project requirements, facilitating a smooth manufacturing process.
Key Skills and Qualifications :
To perform this role effectively, the ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Telecom engineering or equivalent;5+ years' experience in quality control of electrical and instrumentation manufacturing of equipment and materials;Sound knowledge of E&I normative and standards, including IEC, IEEE, ISA;Knowledge of ASME, API, ANSI Codes;Experience with most used E&I equipment in the oil and gas industry, including electrical equipment, transformers, switchgears, instruments, MAC / DCS, electrical and instrumentation cables, fiber optic cables, telecommunication systems, etc.; andFluent English written and spoken (B2-C1).Benefits :
