Own and execute the global commercial strategy for the TMT sector.Originate strategic, cross-product opportunities across M&A, structured finance, capital markets, transaction banking, and ESG, in coordination with global product partners and regional coverage teams.Serve as the senior client sponsor for key global relationships; lead board-level dialogue and develop trusted advisory partnerships.Identify and pursue new client acquisition opportunities, with an emphasis on fast-scaling Tech names and transformational mandates.Lead the internal TMT sector agenda : market mapping, client targeting, strategic themes, and alignment of product coverage and ESG strategy.Contribute to the firm's thought leadership and sector positioning through active participation in industry events, whitepapers, and internal training.Drive the portfolio ESG alignment and support clients in their sustainability and digital transition journeys, positioning BBVA as a value-added partner.What are we looking for?
Candidate Profile :
- Minimum 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or strategic roles within the TMT sector; at least 10 years in senior-level TMT coverage or execution.
- Strong track record of deal origination and execution in Technology (M&A, debt financing, private capital, etc.).
- Deep understanding of Tech sector trends, competitive dynamics, value creation drivers, and strategic priorities of top-tier players.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-border transactions and lead senior-level client relationships.
- Well-established global network of C-level executives, private equity, and VC investors in the TMT ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of ESG topics relevant to TMT, including decarbonization, data privacy, digital inclusion, and regulatory shifts.
- MBA or equivalent degree preferred; fluency in English and Spanish required.
- Highly strategic, with a commercial and strategic mindset, sharp market instincts, and business development skills.
- Influential communicator and trusted advisor to senior clients and internal stakeholders.
