Head of Security Architecture and Engineering

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Security Architecture and Engineering , reporting to the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) , to lead our Security Architecture and Engineering team, ensuring Tunstall’s hardware and software application products are secure with security by design.

This is an exciting time to join Tunstall during a period of transformation. You will be part of a recently created and growing global Information Security team, playing a key role in this transformation.

This role is based at our Madrid office with a hybrid working model. We are flexible on the number of days in the office and location, considering applications from other European offices (Malmo, Sweden; Manchester or Yorkshire, UK).

What will you be doing in this role?

As Head of Security Architecture and Engineering, you will build a highly engaged and skilled team to develop secure hardware products, software applications, and services with security by design, complying with international cybersecurity standards.

You will define, develop, and maintain security tools and roadmaps, aligning priorities with organizational needs and risks, and optimizing the technology stack. Managing strategic plans and operational activities, aligning them with budgets and plans of the Global Information Security and Tunstall Technology Group, is essential.

This senior role involves hands-on work, requiring strategic, tactical, and operational engagement as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have substantial cybersecurity experience, proven leadership of security teams, and a deep understanding of the cybersecurity market, trends, vendors, and solutions. Previous senior management in complex, multinational organizations is required.

A strong technical background, collaborative style, excellent communication skills, and an analytical mindset are essential. You should be capable of engaging senior stakeholders globally, coaching and motivating teams, and managing complexity with limited information.

You must be proactive, detail-oriented, ownership-driven, problem-solving, and tenacious in completing tasks and projects on time and to quality standards.
