At ING we are looking for a Graduate for the Corporate Finance team
Your role and work environment
The M&A Graduate provides support in the origination and execution of advisory transactions in Iberia to more senior team members of the Corporate Finance team (MD / D / VP / As) on a day-to-day basis.
The candidate will work under the direct supervision of more senior members of the team, having varying degrees of responsibility in supporting new business development efforts, executing transactions and assisting in other general advisory work. The candidate will be expected to handle some situations independently while showing constant proactivity and eagerness to learn while positively contributing to the team.
Your key responsibilities
As part of a larger transaction team, the Graduate will play a key role in producing marketing materials, general financial analysis, documents for internal approvals (i.e. KYC, CFCC, Eary Warnings, etc.), lead transaction administration (i.e. data room, meetings coordination, etc.), and preliminary valuation exercises.
What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate should have strong academic background in business administration, economics or similar, and previous financial experience (with a strong preference for Corporate Finance, M&A or Leverage Finance).
The candidate should have sound financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities; and excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must. In addition, we expect the candidate to have the following key personal skills : (i) hard worker with ability to drive multiple activities in parallel; (ii) attention to detail and delivery of top-quality documents; (iii) ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player); and (iv) enthusiasm and ambition to learn.
The candidate should show genuine interest in the Corporate Finance industry and have the ability to earn the trust and respect of clients, colleagues and senior management.
