The Kroll Business Disputes practice provides industry and technical insights to win disputes related to contractual, fiduciary, or related obligations, and prepares expert analysis to help clients understand, prevent, and manage fraud. We are often involved in complex court cases to value damages or establish liability in areas such as intellectual property, lost profits, class actions / securities fraud, breach of contract, or economic anti-trust disputes. Our team members frequently submit expert reports and provide testimony in trials, with support from team members like you.

As a leading global financial advisory and investment banking firm, Kroll leverages analytical skills, market insight, and independence to assist clients in making sound decisions. Our Madrid office comprises over 30 professionals in the Disputes & Investigations practice.

Key Responsibilities :

Responsibilities may include :

  • Managing daily project tasks.
  • Providing accounting, financial, economic, or quantitative advice to legal teams to advance cases.
  • Conducting industry research to understand factors affecting the value and creditworthiness of involved parties.
  • Developing and evaluating damages claims and calculations.
  • Organizing and analyzing large datasets for meaningful conclusions.
  • Drafting internal and external communications, including client proposals and expert reports.
  • Assisting clients with investigations into fraud, accounting misstatements, and regulatory or financial issues.
  • Building relationships with internal teams and clients, sourcing new work, and developing new products.
  • Preparing court-ready written reports.
  • Collaborating with senior management in a growing practice area.

The Ideal Candidate :

  • Education : Pursuing a double degree in law and finance, or holding a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years in an audit department or 1 year in Disputes / Expert Services / Forensic Department.
  • Experience in damages calculation, expert report preparation, forensic accounting, or financial advisory services is highly valued.
  • Strong accounting and financial analysis skills, proficiency in financial projections, Excel, and data review.
  • Ability to explain complex issues clearly, with a logical approach to problem-solving and innovation.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, with strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Language Skills : Native Spanish and fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
