We are seeking a CFO to ensure professional-grade financial control, reporting, and execution across the platform.
About the Company
They are a high-growth platform developing a network of sustainable, hyper-connected data centres in underserved regions of Southern Europe. Backed by a telecoms group and an institutional investor, their mission is to deliver flexible and scalable IT infrastructure, tailored to the computing needs of businesses and the technology sector in the age of AI and exponential digitisation.
With their first sites already under development, they are building a senior leadership team to scale their operations, ensure the successful delivery of Tier III / IV installations and drive excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Role Overview
The Director of Finance will lead the company’s financial operations, with full responsibility for financial control, cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment reporting.
Although not part of the strategic executive committee, this role is central to maintaining investor confidence , supporting multi-asset project deployment , and enabling CAPEX-intensive growth through disciplined financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Investor-grade financial reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports in line with standards expected by private equity sponsors and institutional investors
- Build and manage financial models, forecasts, and budget frameworks
- Control and optimize cash flow and liquidity across the platform and project SPVs
- Manage relationships with banks and financing partners, including structured finance, credit lines and guarantees
- Support the structuring and administration of investment vehicles and CAPEX planning
- Coordinate audit, accounting and tax advisors across jurisdictions (Europe and potentially Americas)
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial governance best practices
- Provide clear and consistent reporting to the CEO and key stakeholders
Profile Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in senior finance roles, preferably as Finance Director or Group Controller in a sponsor-backed platform or large corporateSector experience in capital-intensive industries such as data centers, renewable energy, telecommunications, or infrastructureDemonstrated ability to structure investments , manage project finance and model long-term returnsExperience in supporting inorganic growth (M&A, JVs, multi-country operations) and navigating international tax and finance environments (ideally in Europe and Americas )Strong command of cash management, debt structures , and financial operations in growth environmentsFluent in English (oral and written); additional languages a plus.High professional standards, attention to detail, and ability to work in a lean, fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer
