DESCRIPTION :

The Capacity Planning Team provides AMZL with cost-optimal and flexible capacity solutions for in-station operations, year-round and enabling the business to scale for seasonal peak demand increases. This role is based out of the London corporate office. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to deliver actionable insights that impact daily business, has a strong delivery record, and experienced in driving execution in a cross-functional environment, backed by analysis and data. They thrive in a fast-paced environment, relish working with large amounts of data, and enjoy the challenge of solving highly complex, and sometimes ambiguous problems.

A day in the life

As a Planning Analyst in the Capacity Planning Team, you will work on the weekly cadence for generating labor plans for AMZL delivery stations to prepare for the future. You will analyze execution gaps to improve future plans, build key cross-functional relationships, and ensure decisions are made and actioned efficiently. You will challenge the status quo and strive for continuous improvement. The role requires problem-solving skills, comfort working with big data from multiple sources, and enthusiasm for partnering across teams. You should be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, curious, and detail-oriented.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree obtained within the last 2 years in engineering, statistics, computer science, business analytics, information systems, or a related field
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Fluent in SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics
  • Knowledge of VBA
  • Exposure to labor or production planning
  • Experience working with data warehouses
  • Cross-functional experience
  • Experience in complex problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and transportation concepts
