Who are we? Founded in 2016, Virtus College is a British institution dedicated to the final two years of secondary education (Years 12 and 13), delivering the A-Level curriculum. We specialise in providing a highly personalised learning experience, where each student is guided by a dedicated mentor and follows a tailored educational roadmap aligned with their career aspirations. To ensure individual attention and academic excellence, class sizes are capped at a maximum of 10 students.
What would you do at Virtus? The role is heavily focused on supporting the daily running of the school, and in many instances being at the forefront of communication with different stakeholders of our community. The duties can be broadly divided into 3 categories : reception, office management, and Head’s PA. The role involves participating in key administrative and logistical processes, supporting the Head and the broader leadership team in their projects and processes. The Office Manager will report directly to the Headteacher.

- Receptionist, Office Manager, and Head’s PA :
Provide a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, aligned with Virtus values and prioritising customer service.
Maintain a professional and smart appearance at all times as befits the first point of contact for the school.Perform standard receptionist duties, including visitor registration aligned with the school's safeguarding processes.Assist with compliance regarding fire drill registers.Telephone, email, and face-to-face assistance to students and families.Provide general support to visitors.Assist with the management of students' mobile phones.Manage deliveries for the school.Liaise with external providers for school events and trips.Handle enquiries from the general public regarding admissions.Manage school transport logistics.Headteacher's PA :Organise and schedule meetings and appointments.
Take minutes in meetings.Assist the Headteacher in the organisation of school events.Send weekly communications to families and staff.Monitor and report on daily attendance.Assist with publications, such as the parent and staff handbook, and school policies.Support beginning and end of term activities, including inductions.Monitor and report incidents involving students, staff, and parents.Undertake PA duties, including managing the Head’s diary, handling emails, and drafting newsletters.Assist with the school’s MIS, including data processing, analysis, and entries.Help prepare students' progress reports and assist with exam preparations.Occasional late evenings for major school events.Office Manager :Assist with printing, photocopying, and general office supplies management.
Order stock, take inventory, and secure quotes from providers.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including first aid training.Support document management in electronic systems (scanning, uploading, sending requests).Maintain a calm and organised office environment.What do we need?
