THE ROLE

The Senior Commercial Manager   is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive revenue growth, enhance market positioning, and optimize commercial performance on behalf of Legends partnership with our clients. This role combines data-driven analysis with cross-functional collaboration (internal and external) to ensure the alignment of commercial activities with the organization's overall objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute professional with strong business judgment, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role requiring the ability to influence, lead, and collaborate with diverse teams. The role based in Madrid will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, Iberia.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Stakeholder Collaboration :

  • Act as a liaison between Legends and our clients, managing strategic priorities, operational workflows and aligning objectives.
  • Partner with internal and external cross functional stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment across departments and communicate progress toward goals and objectives.
  • Prepare for and support commercial and operational meetings, including agendas, presentation materials, performance management reporting and follow-up actions.

Strategic Planning & Analysis :

  • Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, market dynamics, competitive positioning, opportunities and risks.
  • Evaluate client performance against competitors and market benchmarks.
  • Analyze business opportunities, risks, and potential for growth in new or existing markets.
  • Assist in developing short-term and long-term strategic and financial plans, ensuring alignment with the Legends / ASM client goals.
  • Develop financial modeling and scenario planning for potential business initiatives or investments.
  • Use data and insights to inform recommendations and product strategies.
  • Financial Analysis and Data-Driven Decision Support :

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with client facing stakeholders and teams to develop initiatives that drive top-line growth across match-day and non-match day business lines.
  • Develop and recommend best practices, pricing strategies, channel optimization, and go-to-market plans.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools to provide actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investment and Risk Analysis :

  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities using techniques such as discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, ROI, and IRR.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential financial exposures and mitigation strategies.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Identify and develop processes optimization opportunities and recommendations.
  • Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of commercial strategies.
  • Leadership and Team Development :

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals within the project team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master’s / MBA preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in commercial strategy, business development, consulting, operations.
  • Full professional fluency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, unstructured environments and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex commercial issues clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to see the big picture and align tactical initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex data and applying insights to drive outcomes.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
