Senior Full Stack Developer (relocation to Cyprus)

EPAM is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support a key client in the insurance sector in Cyprus. The role involves managing the single-risk process lifecycle, from request registration to approval or denial by the credit risk board. The system enhances credit risk management, process control, and documentation traceability.

The ideal candidate will have strong Java experience, particularly with Spring Boot, and frontend skills with Angular. The position offers a hybrid work model at EPAM’s Nicosia office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Java (17) and Spring Boot.
  • Contribute as a Front-end developer on a new project replacing current Java and React applications.
  • Collaborate with analysts and QA to meet requirements and ensure quality.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of Java and Spring Boot experience in production.
  • 2-4 years of Angular experience, mainly as a Front-end developer.
  • Familiarity with JPA / Hibernate and RESTful services.
  • Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and CI / CD.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies; Kanban experience is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

    • Nice to have

  • Experience with Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with ReactJS and Redux.
  • Experience in credit risk or financial applications.
