This position will be responsible for AN's raw material sourcing (including strategy, supplier selection and relationship management), as well as spend management (business awarding, contracting, risk management, QDCIS improvement) for Minerals Extenders and Driers and its associated supplier base in EMEA, covering all AN relevant manufacturing plants.

About the role

Developing and implementing sourcing activities in alignment with AN’s objectives and ALPS Source, such as :

  • Responsible for commercial activities : annual budgeting, deliver price index below budget, contract negotiation through e-bidding with focus on savings and cash delivery, management, development, approval, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Creating and deploying applicable regional / global category strategies (SSM’s) per the category roadmap.
  • Supplier selection and QDCIS improvement.
  • Responsible for world-class supplier relationship management of key suppliers in the portfolio , directly managing key suppliers for his / her area of responsibility.
  • Acting as key interface between sourcing and regional RD&I teams (supplier innovation pipeline optimization and contribution to NPI support).
  • Developing a rich pipeline of PR TCO reduction projects per AN Category Financial Objectives, and drive project maturing until execution by the regional Procurement team.
  • Implementing Procurement Excellence within his / her area of responsibility including cost modelling.
  • Global raw material markets expertise, monitoring, and forecasting; Translating new developments / concepts from the market into new opportunities.
  • Managing supply risk, and supporting escalated supply issues resolution.

  • About You

  • 10 years in a procurement, purchasing, or sourcing function (part of it in R&D, Ops or SC management also valued), preferably in the chemical / coating / automotive industries.
  • 3 to 5 years managing a purchasing team, or in Category / Commodity / Spend Area management with experience in developing and deploying sourcing strategies,
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, Engineering or Business management; CPM or MBA preferred.
  • Relevant experience in negotiating, contracting, and managing regional suppliers at a Senior Level.
  • Proven success in driving supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance improvement programs
  • Understanding of the sourced category in terms of suppliers, market trends and technologies in the region is preferred.
