Aptitude Global is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. You will work within Data Engineering and collaborate closely with software engineering teams and architects to deliver strategic data solutions, while promoting Agile and DevOps practices in data engineering.

What will I do?

  • Collaborate with product owners to understand data requirements and design solutions.
  • Enable product owners and management to derive value through data modeling, sourcing, and transformation.
  • Create reports and visualizations to help understand product uptake.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data structures and metrics, and advocate for necessary changes.
  • Educate and embed new data techniques into the business through training and role modeling.
  • Deliver maintainable data pipelines following best practices in designated environments.

What skills and experience are required?

  • Experience with SQL.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (e.g., Azure Data Factory, DataBricks).
  • Experience with BI tools and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, preferably using Python (PySpark) or Scala.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (git) and CI / CD practices related to data pipelines.
