Please note for this fully remote role we are only recruiting within the UTC-1 to UTC+3 timezones.

IVPNis a mission driven company with a focus on privacy within the larger VPN consumer market. We have been around for 15 years and prepare to launch new privacy services in 2025. We are also in the process of rolling out a new VPN infrastructure utilising new technologies to radically improve the transparency of our service.

We are looking for an experienced system administrator to maintain and scale our existing high performance network of VPN servers and related infrastructure. The position is fully remote with high level of autonomy and requires that you thrive in this type of environment.

What you will work on

You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the high availability of our network of hundreds of servers in production using your expertise in Dev-ops and general Linux server administration. Occasionally, you will be required to address urgent issues beyond normal working hours.
You will be responsible for interfacing with ISP's to resolve upstream network issues.
You will provide tier 2 / 3 support to our customer support team for issues relating to infrastructure.
You will be responsible for consolidating infrastructure, unifying monitoring and aligning operational practices across the business.

Requirements

5+ years experience managing Linux servers including bare-metal.

Strong understanding of TCP / IP, UDP, SSL / TLS and other related Internet protocols

Strong experience working with a configuration management tool e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Salt.

5+ years experience with Python, Go or other scripting languages.

Understanding and interest in infosec, specifically with regards to public key cryptography, firewalls and Linux server hardening.

IVPN is operated by IVPN Limited, a fully distributed company incorporated in Gibraltar.
