Test Engineer

Pepper Group Spain is investing in the development of a loan servicing platform and broader ecosystem with the aspiration to provide the modular elements of the platform to internal and third-party customers on a SaaS basis.

About the role

The Test Engineer is a key new appointment to Project Prism, who will work with the dedicated team to build the platform for both web and mobile access.

The Test Engineer will be a can-do, high-achieving individual who will bring their product and domain expertise to the product, having experience of working with teams to build high-quality enterprise-level applications and have a passion for technology.

Location : Madrid, Spain.

Main Responsibilities

• Understand the products and design the test scenarios, cases, and plans at all levels of the application.
• Design and automate web API tests using Postman and Newman, and web application testing using Cucumber and Selenium.
• Understand, analyse, and develop complex test data sets to design and implement automated tests and test environments.
• Work with Azure DevOps to ensure that an automated regression pack is built and is run as part of builds and deployments.
• Collaborate with a Scrum Team of developers, program management, and design teams on technical implementation and user scenarios.
• Keep abreast of Testing best practices to define and propose tools, techniques and processes for automation testing of the platform.
• 3+ years of experience using Azure DevOps, Selenium, Karma, Jasmine, and Postman, among others.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
• Proficiency in developing automated test systems.
• Knowledge and experience of microservice architecture that modern back end is often built upon with its moving parts, dependencies, and interactions.
• Understanding of the cloud infrastructure environment.
• Strong English skills (Verbal & Written).
