Assistant Vice President, Structured Finance Analytics

About the Role :

The Morningstar DBRS Structured Finance Analytics team supports the Global Structured Finance (GSF) division. Its Data Analytics team provides analytical content to GSF rating teams in North America and Europe. To support strategic initiatives, the team seeks an Assistant Vice President experienced in managing complex data projects to enhance analytical capabilities, streamline data processes, and align GSF with Credit Operations.

This role involves assessing and integrating data sources within Morningstar DBRS’s Credit Data Lake into a data warehouse (Credit Data Hub), developing presentation layers using Tableau, and establishing post-implementation support frameworks. The position requires credit ratings expertise, project management skills, supervisory abilities, stakeholder engagement, strong communication skills, a focus on quality assurance, and a technical mindset.

The role offers exposure to various structured finance asset classes and opportunities to collaborate with Credit Operations and Credit Technology on project prioritization and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and implementation of strategic data analytics initiatives for GSF.
• Supervise members of the Data Analytics team.
• Act as a business partner between Data Analytics, Credit Operations, and GSF rating teams.
• Develop data governance policies, including process flows, change management, documentation, and data dictionaries.
• Support other SFA teams with data pipelines and governance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
