SPRIM, a dynamic global consulting and agency group, is looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Lead to accelerate growth within Healthcare, Food and Nutrition Markets , focusing on our Marketing and communications Services : healthcare and food marketing , medical communications , and creative omnichannel engagement .

Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Strategic Accounts and working in close collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications based in Madrid, this role combines new business acquisition , client relationship management , and strategic proposal development . You’ll work closely with pharma, biotech, CHC, medical nutrition and Food & Nutrition clients to identify opportunities and deliver innovative B2B agency solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Lead the acquisition of new clients, focusing on agency services : marketing and communications projects, medical content, creative campaigns, and omnichannel programs.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring continuous business opportunities.
  • Execute multichannel lead generation strategies : email engagement, social selling, networking, cold calling, congress and fairs attendance, and strategic outreach.
  • Deliver persuasive SPRIM agency presentations tailored to client needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal service such a Marketing communications and Impact, or the Scientific Excellence Platform teams to shape compelling proposals.
  • Lead negotiations, navigate procurement processes, and successfully close deals.
  • Client Engagement, Key Account Growth and Sales operations

  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients, identifying upselling opportunities across services.
  • Partner with marketing, scientific, creative, and strategic leads to co-develop tailored solutions that solve real client challenges.
  • Stay attuned to market developments, regulatory changes, and competitive activity in the Spanish healthcare space.
  • Maintain up-to-date CRM data and ensure all activity is tracked and optimized (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Report regularly on progress, wins, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Share insights and learnings to continuously refine BD programs.
  • Candidate Profile

    Education

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Background in Life Sciences (Pharmacy, Biology, Nutrition, etc.) is a strong asset.
  • Experience

  • Total of 7 to 10 years of experience - including 3–5 years of experience in B2B Business Development, New Business or KAM roles in Spain, ideally in food & healthcare marketing, medcomms, or agency environments.
  • Proven success in generating leads, converting opportunities, and closing deals in healthcare industry.

  • CRM & Automated marketing Digital Tools – Proficiency in CRMs such as Hubspot, Zoho or Microsoft Dynamics, Office Suite, and cloud-based sales platforms.
  • Languages

  • Fluency in Spanish and English required.
