And at the European Shared Services Center based in Cornellà de Llobregat, with more than 300 employees, we support the group's various subsidiaries across Europe and other regions. We have built an outstanding multicultural environment composed of employees from around 30 different nationalities.

We are looking for a Junior assistant accountant for the Netherlands based in Barcelona.

As a Junior assistant accountant for the Netherlands, you will :

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with Dutch Accounting Standards and Dutch Civil Code for several Dutch legal entities.
  • Be responsible for the annual statutory audit of the Dutch entities and obtaining a clean sign-off for the annual accounts by our auditor Deloitte.
  • Work closely with other finance, payroll, tax, legal, business departments in the Netherlands, as well as the consolidation department at the head office in the US or other locations as needed.
  • Review and advise on all major transactions to ensure correct recording under DAS requirements, and prepare and execute all necessary legal adjustments.
  • Communicate professionally with external parties such as statutory auditors, tax advisors, tax offices, business administrators, and local statistical offices.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for US GAAP and NL GAAP.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations in line with company policy.

You Will Have

  • Native-level proficiency in Dutch and fluency in English.
  • A degree in accounting or finance administration.
  • Working knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and Dutch Civil Code.
  • Basic knowledge of Dutch reporting and tax structures.
  • Experience in preparing annual financial statements under DAS is desirable.
  • Experience with other GAAP (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.) is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • SAP knowledge is an advantage.
