Senior Backend Spark Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Spark Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, your mission will be to design, develop, test, and deploy technical specifications from Solution Designers / Business Architects / Business Analysts, ensuring correct operability and compliance with internal quality levels.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Developing end-to-end ETL processes with Spark / Scala, including data transfer between the data lake, technical validations, business logic, etc.
• Collaborating with a high-performance team using Scrum methodology
• Documenting solutions in Group Santander tools : JIRA, Confluence, ALM...
• Certifying delivery and integrating it with other components, designing and performing relevant tests to ensure quality

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of programming experience, with at least 3 years of experience developing backend applications with BigData technologies, preferably in Spark with Scala.

You should also have a solid understanding of Agile approach for software development, Continuous Integration (Git, GitHub, Jenkins), SQL, and English language skills (at least B2+).

Prior experience with Jenkins orchestration, Bash scripting, ControlM, software development life cycle (HP ALM...), basics of cybersecurity & Quality (sonar...), and Cloud computing (Docker, Kubernetes, OS3, Azure, AWS) is a plus.
