The role is a Global Catalyst for a Head of Engineering position at a Medical / Health Startup.

The company is a healthcare organization aiming to improve the field by leveraging technology to enhance the human condition, not replace artists and creatives.

The role involves working directly with the CTO and CEO.

Responsibilities include :

• Technical Leadership : Own the end-to-end architecture and design of the platform across all engineering domains (backend, orchestration, infrastructure, and AI).
• Team Leadership : Manage, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, promoting best practices and DevOps excellence.
• Architecture and Scalability : Design systems focused on scalability, modularity, performance, and clinical safety.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with product, clinical, and compliance teams to ensure secure, regulated, and privacy-preserving solutions (GDPR, HIPAA, MDR).
• Platform Evolution : Lead decisions on multi-cloud architecture, data privacy, AI pipeline evolution, and integration with EHRs and third-party models.
• Risk & Security Management : Identify technical risks and establish mitigation strategies, especially concerning patient safety and AI reliability.

Qualifications include :

Compensation will be a mix of Fixed & Equity.
