The Plant Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to partners at a manufacturing plant. Their key objective is to continuously improve cost, quality, and service of the products produced through teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, other organizations, and customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain fair and equitable HR programs consistent with company goals.
- Lead plant activities to improve performance in areas of cost, quality, and service.
- Work together with the team to establish a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Provide leadership in production while improving fixed and variable costs.
- Represent the organization in contact with regulatory agencies, local customers, and the community.
- Define and review KPIs for all areas with Category leads.
- Understand shipping and transportation needs and develop new solutions.
- Negotiate lease and supply agreements as applicable.
- Coach and provide career development assistance to staff members.
- Stay up-to-date on market conditions.
- Create and support a Process Excellence culture and team environment.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements.
- Establish and audit PCPs, CCPs, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Review incidents where procedures are not met and determine corrective action for non-compliance.
- Train, coach, evaluate, and reinforce Schreiber qualities and principles with partners.
- Identify potential capital improvements through analysis justification and approval process.
- Manage or assist in the management of capital projects.
- Sustain active involvement in supporting the local community aligned with organizational values.
