nscglobal's Head of Global Logistics Management is a crucial role responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of hardware to customers. With approximately 50% of nscglobal's revenue derived from network hardware sales, this position significantly impacts revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role involves overseeing all logistics elements, including inventory management, warehousing, staging, reverse logistics, and import / export management, to maintain high quality standards. As logistics has grown rapidly, this role aims to implement transformative strategies to support future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relationships from tender to business integration within NSC.
  • Collaborate with multiple project teams.
  • Ensure operations are delivered on time and within budget, meeting or exceeding SLAs.
  • Oversee third-party carriers, selecting best-in-class providers, processes, and systems to attract and retain customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and customs laws to facilitate smooth and swift movement of goods.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to develop regional service offerings.
  • Coordinate with departments including Operations, Transformation Services, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Commercial.
  • Utilize data analytics for better decision-making.
  • Develop, critique, and present proposals and reports with supporting business cases.
  • Manage the entire supply chain from procurement to delivery.
  • Develop strategic plans to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Handle people management, HR issues, and recruitment.
  • Travel to customer sites and third-party providers as needed, especially during transitions.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of EU logistics, especially post-Brexit, to optimize travel paths, costs, and compliance.
  • Background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain management, understanding all supply chain elements.
  • Experience managing large-scale customer transactions.
  • Degree qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Warehouse or Operations Management.
  • Experience in IT hardware logistics distribution is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs, and import / export processes, including IOR / EOR.
  • Experience at managerial levels such as Warehouse Manager, Depot Manager, or Head of Logistics.
  • Global experience and a passion for sustainability.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification is desirable.
  • Experience managing P&L up to £2M, monitoring costs and re-allocating non-logistics expenses appropriately.
  • Proven track record of delivering high service levels through third-party carriers.
  • Successful project management experience.
  • Results-oriented, commercially savvy, with upselling capabilities.
  • Proactive risk, issue, and dependency management with action planning.
  • Industry management experience.
  • Ability to leverage data for risk assessment and opportunity identification.
