About the RoleThe Data Protection Officer is a vital member of our organization's risk management team, responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with data protection regulations and guidelines.As a key contributor to our Risk Iberian Hub Madrid platform, you will provide expert advice on data protection requirements, validate new activities and products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.You will work closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks, develop strategies to minimize data breaches, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote data protection best practices.This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring a deep understanding of data protection principles and practices to this critical role. Responsibilities- Validate data protection requirements for new activities, products, or services- Provide technical assistance and guidance on data protection matters- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address data protection concerns- Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to personal data breaches- Review and challenge risk & control self-assessment reports and control plans- Develop and execute 2nd level controls to ensure proper execution of controls by 1st line of defense- Review historical incidents linked to privacy risks QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need :
