WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You will join our Process Excellence team within our Enterprise Technology practice, focusing on Product Lifecycle Management and serving end-to-end BI projects across our priority clients. You can look forward to being embedded in teams consisting of other driven and curious Bain staff, working alongside consultants, other tech experts (e.g., Cloud, Architecture), design experts, and software developers, among others. With this uniquely diverse group, you will serve leading companies in every industry, helping them enhance PLM processes and solutions to drive innovation and efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Mission

Utilize PLM expertise to transform product development processes and support data-driven innovation, delivering strategic solutions that align with complex business objectives
Develop and maintain strong senior client relationships, providing strategic insights and challenging existing processes to deliver business value
Lead efforts to advance the capability of the team in areas of PLM Processes and Product Data Management

Essential Functions

Lead transformation initiatives to improve product lifecycle efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams on strategic PLM solutions

Ensure effective data management to support new product launches

Serve as a subject matter expert for clients, offering profound knowledge of the PLM applications and incorporating an outside-in perspective by applying leading practices

Cultivate strong client and stakeholder relationships to ensure change management success and communicate PLM concepts effectively

Plan, execute, and manage quantitative and qualitative analyses of PLM processes

Prepare and finalize project deliverables, including reports, workshop materials, and business proposals

Engage in project and program management activities, such as reviewing and maintaining project plans, actions, and risk logs; scheduling and leading project meetings; and documenting and following up on agreed actions

Implement focused change management strategies to ensure stakeholder buy-in and acceptance

ABOUT YOU

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, software engineering, computer programming, information technology, business informatics, or related fields

Preferred : Advanced courses in PLM, supply chain, or data management

Experience

10 years of technology experience, incl. 7+ years of PLM implementation experience

Experience in the Consumer Products and Retail sectors is a plus

Demonstrated expertise in PLM platforms, with strong knowledge of SAP, Dassault, or Siemens. Experience with Q&FS processes is a plus

Consulting background with demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and a track record in managing and cultivating client relationships is highly desirable

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Strong expertise in PLM platforms, with familiarity with advanced PLM technologies and BI tools

Strong understanding of PLM processes and the ability to implement and optimize these processes within complex client environments

Understanding of data flows across PPM and integrated applications e.g. common product data model across PLM & ERP

Solid understanding of master data management, especially in the context of new product introduction processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and interpret large datasets

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior client stakeholders

Ability to work collaboratively in a global environment, working with different cultures and styles

Fluency in English (written and spoken)
