Role Overview

The Product Stewardship Specialist is responsible for ensuring Clariant's global compliance with REACH regulations through expert analysis, documentation, and consultation. This role acts as a key liaison between regulatory requirements and business operations, supporting the company's commitment to product safety and regulatory excellence.

Responsibilities

Objective : To provide specialized expertise in REACH compliance and regulatory affairs, ensuring Clariant's materials meet all legal requirements worldwide while supporting business units and customers with regulatory guidance for EU market access, with particular focus on Only Representative responsibilities under REACH regulation.

  • Independently perform REACH status analysis of Clariant materials worldwide.
  • Independently issue legally binding statements on the REACH status of Clariant materials.
  • Initiate Only Representative registrations in cooperation with Product Managers, Business Units, Product Stewardship Business Partners, and customers.
  • Support Business Units and customers on regulatory requirements for importing materials into the European Union, focusing on "Only Representative" matters under REACH.
  • Handle complex supply chain topics related to CLNs materials sold.
  • Make informed decisions to ensure chemical regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain resilience in stressful environments.
  • Engage in cross-functional interactions.

Requirements

  • Qualification in a Chemical-technical field or education in Business Management / International Business.
  • Deep knowledge of Product Stewardship processes and REACH-like regulations.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Product Stewardship specialist in a multinational company.
  • Experience with business processes (Production, Purchasing, Sales) in SAP / WINS and EH&S.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain regulations.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and intercultural understanding.
  • Investigative, flexible, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
  • Target-driven communication skills.
