About the Role :
UST is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Cloud-native platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of critical systems and influence architectural decisions across multiple teams. In our agile, DevOps-centric environment, you will lead the full lifecycle of high-impact services—shaping design, delivery, and operations—while mentoring engineering leads and promoting best practices at scale.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Strategy & Architecture : Define and evolve architecture for large-scale, microservices-based systems. Lead cross-team design reviews to ensure alignment with performance, security, and scalability goals.
- DevOps & Delivery : Architect and optimize CI / CD pipelines for complex workflows. Promote observability, resilience, and infrastructure as code across deployments.
- Feature Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement : Own major feature delivery, collaborating with Product, UX, and Operations. Act as a technical liaison, translating strategic goals into actionable roadmaps.
- Quality & Standards : Establish and enforce coding standards, testing (TDD / BDD), and performance benchmarks. Introduce new tools and processes to enhance productivity and code quality.
- Mentorship & Organizational Growth : Mentor engineers, guide architectural and technical decisions, and foster a culture of continuous learning through activities like brown-bag sessions and hackathons.
Mandatory Requirements :
Experience building and scaling distributed systems in agile / DevOps environments.Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Avro).Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, container security, and infrastructure as code.English proficiency at C1 level (professional fluency).What We Offer :
