Applications are invited for a Research Support Tech in the Multisensory Research Group (MRG), led by Salvador Soto Faraco, at the Center for Brain and Cognition, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). The candidate will join the project Bridging Perception and Conflict, funded by MICIU / AEI and ERDF.

The position is for 6 months.

PERFLICT is a research project addressing perception and cognitive conflict and control, using theories such as Predictive Processing and Bayesian Causal Inference.

Tasks include :

• Participant Recruitment
• Preparing consent forms and collaboration documentation
• Preparing materials / stimuli and programming experiments
• Data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and modeling
• Requesting or acquiring equipment / supplies
• Attending meetings
• Summarizing results
• Data curation for repositories
• Laboratory maintenance : social networks and web

The selection process involves curriculum evaluation, possibly tests or interviews. The minimum passing score is 70 points, with the highest scoring candidate being offered the position.

Evaluation criteria :

The expected start date is 15 September; the job is located in Barcelona.
