Scopely is seeking a Senior Game Analyst to join our Product Strategy team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis. We are a global team passionate about gaming, developing, publishing, and innovating in the mobile games industry, connecting millions worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Perform comprehensive analyses and product teardowns of competitor games, surfacing insights about established and newly released games in relevant genres.
- Compile reports on key market trends, game mechanics / economy innovations, competitors’ soft / hard launches, and high-potential features regularly.
- Play main competitor games in the genre to stay updated on the market, especially new launches and innovations in gameplay and monetization.
- Liaise with the Strategic Analytics team to ensure data sources, models, and dashboards serve Product Strategy needs.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in gaming (especially in Product / Game Design roles) or deep gamer knowledge of mobile casual (required) and midcore / core games (optional), as well as PC / Console genres.Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and derive insights from qualitative and quantitative data.Investigative skills to synthesize information from various sources.Business acumen and understanding of game systems (features, economies, live ops).Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Product Management, Game / Product Design, or related fields.2-4 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Market Research, Strategy, or related areas, with proficiency in analytical tools.Prior experience in mobile gaming industry preferred, or a strong passion for the genres and their success factors.We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment.
