Our team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work close to one of our main clients in the financial sector. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing optimal solutions that foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

• Lead strategic prototyping workshops to understand business objectives through quick feedback loops.
• Collaborate effectively across Global Technology Shared Services (InfoSec, Infrastructure, Production Support, etc.) to productionize successful solutions.
• Understand differences in approach for building self-service BI (business or IT managed) vs Corporate BI solutions, including choice of data sources and ETL approach.
• Drive reporting efficiencies by categorizing internal practices for streamlined reporting and defining a vehicle for sharing with others, including training for Power BI report designers and data modellers, as well as for Power BI report consumers.
• Act as a Power BI product evangelist to build awareness and understanding, staying up-to-date with changing technology landscape, helping to better understand use cases for Power Solutions, including when alternatives would be a better fit.
• Contribute to the Power Platform centre of excellence within the firm to create governance structure for the implementation of PowerBI, Assess adoption and customer satisfaction, working collaboratively with product teams including UX specialists.
• Be a change ambassador, open to collaboration on all levels, with a creative approach to each problem.

Key skills required include :

Nice to have : Experience in building reporting governance framework and driving adoption within the organisation; experience of SAFe working practices; experience in consuming data using data interfaces such as APIs, snowflake, Databases, various file format types; understanding of Data Quality approaches such as shift left.
